At the heart of the Lethal Venom is the Gear APG asymmetrical core, and it’s an absolute powerhouse. With a fast-spinning low RG of 2.47, a controllably low differential of .036, and an intermediate differential of .013 — this core strikes the perfect balance of control and versatility. What does that mean for you? It’s like having the precision of the original Gear core from the Venom Shock—but on steroids. The Gear APG lets you adapt and attack the lanes with confidence.

Now, let’s talk coverstock—the Lethal Venom features the same Leverage MXC Solid Reactive cover originally found on the Subzero Forge.  That means the Lethal Venom is the first Venom to contain the game-changer of Duramax additive technology!  This means that the cover will hold its surface longer, have better traction in the oil, create a smooth down-lane motion, and allow for maximum control. This isn’t just innovation—it’s domination.

When To Use

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers - For speed dominant bowlers, the Venom Shock and Black Venom may be too clean to use on fresh oil.  For bowlers in that situation, the Leverage MXC coverstock will give enough traction to use a lower differential core like the Gear APG when more rev dominant players are using them.  Additionally, speed dominant players benefit greatly from Duramax enhanced coverstocks and the Lethal Venom will serve as a great step down from the Subzero Forge and Evoke for lower oil concentrations or straighter angles.
  • Balanced Bowlers - The Lethal Venom will be a great benchmark option for balanced bowlers to use as the first ball out of their bag.  For balanced bowlers, a smooth, controllable, lower flaring ball is useful for reading an oil pattern and giving a great deal of control early in competition. 
  • Rev Dominant Bowlers - Many rev dominant bowlers need smooth and controllable motion, but struggle to use high differential bowling balls.  The significant flare of a high diff ball can often create issues with carry for rev dominant players.  WIth the .036 differential of the Lethal Venom, rev dominant players can use something that will respond more slowly to friction on the lane without being hindered by excessive flare.

    I have been bowling with this ball now for a few months. I started off as a beginner and am learning new bowling techniques using this ball. I enjoy using this ball and have been able to predict its curve once I got more consistent.

    First 300!

    Threw the Lethal all night for a clean set of 269, 300, and 205 for a 774. My first 300 and highest set to date. My 14yr old son was there to witness it and he just qualified for Jr. Gold last weekend. Love these MOTIV balls and the Lethal paired with the Steel Forge has been the combo for me as of late. Thank you MOTIV for great products and can't wait to get my new Raptor Reign and Nebula soon!

    Great sport shot ball

    I have the Black Venom and Blue Coral and this ball gives you that stronger cover, but smaller core. It's great for those tougher medium length, medium volume patterns when the bigger cores are too much, but you need that traction in the oil. I can see how Michael Davidson set a scoring record with this ball. It's a touch strong for me on a house shot. If you need to control the down lane friction or bowling on a sport or challenge pattern, this ball is money.

    Wow….Just Wow

    Red and black is my favorite color so I decided to purchase the ball. Besides it’ll be a great benchmark ball for shorter patterns and formats. I shot 550 out the box with my upside down full roller layout on a 34 foot pattern.
