At the heart of the Lethal Venom is the Gear APG asymmetrical core, and it’s an absolute powerhouse. With a fast-spinning low RG of 2.47, a controllably low differential of .036, and an intermediate differential of .013 — this core strikes the perfect balance of control and versatility. What does that mean for you? It’s like having the precision of the original Gear core from the Venom Shock—but on steroids. The Gear APG lets you adapt and attack the lanes with confidence.

Now, let’s talk coverstock—the Lethal Venom features the same Leverage MXC Solid Reactive cover originally found on the Subzero Forge.  That means the Lethal Venom is the first Venom to contain the game-changer of Duramax additive technology!  This means that the cover will hold its surface longer, have better traction in the oil, create a smooth down-lane motion, and allow for maximum control. This isn’t just innovation—it’s domination.

When To Use

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers - For speed dominant bowlers, the Venom Shock and Black Venom may be too clean to use on fresh oil.  For bowlers in that situation, the Leverage MXC coverstock will give enough traction to use a lower differential core like the Gear APG when more rev dominant players are using them.  Additionally, speed dominant players benefit greatly from Duramax enhanced coverstocks and the Lethal Venom will serve as a great step down from the Subzero Forge and Evoke for lower oil concentrations or straighter angles.
  • Balanced Bowlers - The Lethal Venom will be a great benchmark option for balanced bowlers to use as the first ball out of their bag.  For balanced bowlers, a smooth, controllable, lower flaring ball is useful for reading an oil pattern and giving a great deal of control early in competition. 
  • Rev Dominant Bowlers - Many rev dominant bowlers need smooth and controllable motion, but struggle to use high differential bowling balls.  The significant flare of a high diff ball can often create issues with carry for rev dominant players.  WIth the .036 differential of the Lethal Venom, rev dominant players can use something that will respond more slowly to friction on the lane without being hindered by excessive flare.

    Stronger than expected

    The Lethal Venom continues the legacy and evolution of the venom line! After seeing the success from PVA tour players with this ball, I was very excited to drill.

    Using one of my favorite layouts (40x5.5”x40) with box finish, I was surprised how strong this ball is compared to my expectations! With the assymetric version of the Venom core, the Lethal Venom shapes quite a bit downlane and has good traction in the oil.

    The Lethal Venom makes the Black Venom seem quite a bit cleaner and less overall. I also enjoy using the Venom Recoil as a “trick ball” for flatter patterns with friction. The Lethal Venom is stronger & more aggressive than both!

    The color scheme & shelf appeal are top notch. The Lethal Venom catches eyes on the shelf, on the rack, and running over pins!

    Wow like I said

    The first two outings, 738 off the press and 767 the following day. Being a lower rev bowler, this ball has a ton of forgiveness room stores enough energy to explode the pocket. If you are a league bowler, this ball is a must have! You won't regret it.

    Can’t go wrong with a venom in the bag. League bowlers, your gonna love this one. By far the best Venom on the market. It doesn't lane shine as quick and the Motiv family has really done an amazing...job nice and smooth. I highly recommend this to all!

    Out of box this ball has TEETH. For those that have a difficult time getting the SHock to see the lane at the right spot, LETAHL is what you need

    This ball WILL be your benchmark ball, first out of the bag on any condition with predictable/smooth/heavy hitting power.
