The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    Great benchmark ball.

    The Venom Shock is my go to ball, especially when bowling in a new house. It is one of the most versatile balls I have ever owned. On higher friction lanes I can use it on fresh and stay in it for most of the night. On lower friction lanes, it can be used on burn or if you need to play straighter.
    The shape is a predictable control ball. Not too sharp on the backend, but still has plenty of motion and finishing power.

    Feels like the best ball I've thrown yet

    Just started up bowling after taking 20 years off. I was recommended this ball by the PSO at my local alley even though I had my eye on it prior. It does everything I wanted it to do. Perfect carry, perfect tail end response and a strong finish. You have a Motiv guy for life now

    This is my 2nd review. I like this ball so much, I bought one for my wife and my brother in law. So versatile and dependable. Can use it all over the lane. If you're in a light to med condition , first out the bag. Heavier straight up the boards. It's long lasting. Get it in your bag.
