The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    Absolutely the best ball for any bowler

    This is the first Motiv ball I bought myself shortly after I first started bowling and that was 3 years ago and to this day that ball has NEVER left my bag. The versatility of the Venom Shock is unmatched. Stays strong through the entire oil breakdown. The only time this ball will leave my bag is when I buy a new venom shock to retire this gem.

    Venom Shock

    I was out of bowling for a long time and started bowling again this year. Connor Pickford suggested this ball to me and he was right. I'm a lower speed/rev bowler and this ball works really well for my game. Two weeks after purchasing the Shock, I rolled my personal best of 275 in practice. Just today, I hit a 258 also in practice, This ball has put a smile on an old guy's face!

    Benchmark quality with proven performance

    I spent some time away from Motiv gear prior to the pandemic. After having to throw away multiple balls from another company due to cracking, I came back and this was the first piece I decided to purchase as it has one of the longest runs of all of the Motiv balls on the market.

    The Venom Shock is the first ball out of my bag on every single pattern because it's the most predictable piece I've ever used. It gives a clear read of where to play the lanes and what equipment I should go to in order to score well. I consider this piece an absolute must for sport and challenge shot play.

    One of the best balls ever.

    The Venom Shock is an absolute must own. Performance for the price is unmatched. The Shock is the ultimate benchmark ball that takes to surface changes amazingly. There is a reason it's been in production since 2014!
