The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    Great all-around ball

    I really like this ball as it smooths out the constant over/under conditions our house puts down every night. This ball is very controllable when the transition from oil to dry is instant. Most other balls get very angular and run out but this ball still carries when nothing else will.

    As I am continually building my MOTIV bowling arsenal the venom shock is a all-around must have in your bag. The Venom Shock out of the box 4000 grit, symmetrical ball, with turmoil reactive finish allows me to play multiple angles on the house shots. I am slowly building my 9 ball arsenal. The Venom Shock was my first ball purchase for my league house shot.

    Perfect Ball

    This might be one of the if not the best ball Motiv has ever released. This ball in my opinion is the perfect benchmark ball. I know that if I am struggling with transition on a lane/pair I can grab this and it will help me get through at least 3 games. If anyone I know ever needs a relatively strong ball that they can use in the middle of a session I will always recommend this ball

    What CAN'T this ball do?

    I've tried every surface possible on this ball, and it still delivers. Multiple oil patterns, multiple houses, and it still does exactly what I think it will. People call this a GOAT ball, and it's 100% true. Usually the first ball out of my bag to gauge the lanes. Can't bowl without it.
