Something out of this world is coming from Motiv Bowling. The all-new NEBULA is built for one thing: maximum angle through the pins.  This isn’t a minor incremental improvement, this is a ball that’s not even in the same universe!   We’ve reached new heights in down-lane motion by combining two brand-new technologies: the Hadron Core and the Dark Matter Propulsion coverstock.  This Cosmic Black Pearl Nebula is cleaner in the front, sharper in the back, and more explosive through the pins.

Hadron Symmetrical

At the center of the Nebula is the brand-new Hadron Core—our first dual-density core in over 8 years.  This new symmetrical core was worth the wait, generating incredible energy retention for an explosive backend motion.  This new addition is intended to be the most versatile dual density core in the Motiv line while still providing the trademark dual density flip down lane.  And the high-density flip block at the bottom of the core fuels explosive reaction to new levels!

Dark Matter Propulsion Pearl

Wrapped around the Nebula is new Dark Matter Propulsion Pearl - the sharpest, cleanest, and most angular coverstock MOTIV has EVER created. Every single adjustment to Propulsion tech was made with one outcome in mind: faster backend reaction.  Even the cosmic-black color choice and pearl additive were made solely to maximize angularity.  As a result, the Dark Matter Propulsion cover is cleaner and more reactive than any Propulsion technology prior.  This cover is pure rocket fuel.

When to Use

  • Speed Dominant

For bowlers with higher ball speed and/or lower rev rates, the Nebula will likely serve as an angular ball best used on friction.  Speed dominant bowlers require more friction than most, so rather than being a medium oil pearl, the Nebula will likely serve as a medium-dry to dry lane solution when the bowler needs angle.

  • Balanced

Bowlers with balanced speed/rev rate ratios will love the Nebula late in league night, late in tournament squads, on lighter oil patterns, and often high friction surfaces.  When friction is present and angle through the front of the lane is necessary, the Nebula will be an outstanding solution.

  • Rev Dominant

Crankers will love the Nebula for many situations ranging from medium-heavy oil to medium-dry when they want to see back end motion.  Many rev dominant players like to create angle through the front of the lane and need something that responds quickly to friction.  The Nebula is designed for fast response to friction, which so many rev dominant players love to see.

Nebula hits the pins like a grenade going off. WOW!

When I first started throwing my Nebula, I was surprised at how hard it hit the pens. I've increased my average by over 20 pins because of this ball. It has a strong back end and hits really hard regardless of the lane conditions. This ball is awesome. This ball is my first ball out of the bag and I use it for all three games.

    Ultimate lane control and versatility

If your looking for a great addition to the bag that gives you incredible length down lane without sacrificing carry then this has to be in your bag. I had this ball ordered as soon as it was announced and had to re order it multiple times because so many people wanted it. I tried a traditional test drive layout on one ball and while the bowler it was drilled for was playing more down and in. I was able to stand at 30 and push it out to the 4 board and it came back roaring. My layout is a little off center above the ring finger, this ball has amazing recovery and carry. 276 270 and 248 first 3 games. Used it on a burned pattern after and took hand out. Still had plenty of play and carry.

It is everything as advertised. I have it pin down 4 1/2 pin.
You can not miss left with it. Once the lane broke down with carry down & cliff you can move right play 2 arrow straight up.
My 1st game with this ball was 289.

    SPECIAL

I drilled my Nebula 60 x 4.75 x 30. My expectation for this ball was to be able to throw it later in sets when I saw stronger equipment starting to hook a bit early. I got that and SO much more.

Initially, I found the Nebula to provide a lot of backend motion. That was no surprise. Typically with equipment like that, I find them to be over/under and I struggle to score well due to my inconsistency. This ball is DIFFERENT.

Not only does it go sideways on the backend, but it is also forgiving enough to make up for my misses both in/out, and my sometimes inconsistency in regard to speed.

The reason I say this ball is special is the way it goes through the pins. Nearly every shot I found myself impressed by how well it hit and went THROUGH the pins. I did not see a single instance where this ball deflected, even when I pulled it inside and I would expect it to. This is a ball that I seek opportunities to throw, and I’m confident that I will score very well with it.

I would absolutely recommend this ball. Even if it is a motion that overlaps with something you’re currently throwing, I would recommend it. It’s just that good. The way it goes through the pins is unlike any ball I have ever seen.

    Another great ball

It is very versatile, I can play inside, and get it to make the turn, or I can take hand out, and play outside. Its continuation through the pins is incredible. One of my fellow bowlers, asked What ball is that? I need to get one!" Once again, great Ball MOTIV. Staying MOTIVated in VA
