Since 2017, the legendary Jackal Ghost has been reigning terror on heavy oil. With paranormal performance, it delivers more total hook potential than any previous Jackal with no loss in continuation. It's scary good! The Predator V2 weight block, first used on the Jackal LE, is now at the core of the Jackal Ghost. Featuring a low RG and loads of differential, this asymmetric design is easy to rev and produces massive track flare.

Combining the physics of the Predator V2 with the chemistry of the new Coercion HFS (High Friction Solid) cover stock, the Jackal Ghost elevates heavy oil performance to a new level. Coercion HFS is the most aggressive cover stock to date on a bowling ball in the Jackal product line. Turned with a 3000 Grit Lss Finish, bowlers will see both excellent mid-lane read and unbelievable continuation.

Obviously the Jackal Ghost will be a go-to ball for bowlers that want to see more hook without sacrificing continuation on higher volumes of oil. It will also be ideal for bowlers that have a low rev rate or higher ball speeds.

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - For a bowler with high ball speed or those with lower rev rates, the Jackal Ghost serves as an outstanding benchmark option due to the cleaner cover and controllable motion down lane.  The versatility of drilling offered by the Predator V2 also makes the Ghost a great benchmark piece for speed dominant bowlers.
  • Balanced - Players who are balanced in their speed to rev rate ratio find the Ghost to be a must have for fresh oil and longer patterns.  The Jackal Ghost is ideal for balanced bowlers to use in a variety of lower friction environments.
  • Rev Dominant - Over the past several years AJ Johnson and EJ Tackett have proven that the Jackal Ghost is a must have for the rev dominant player.  Due to the coverstock being moderately clean, a rev dominant player is able to use the Jackal Ghost without worrying about it “burning up” or getting too forward down lane like so many heavy oil asymmetrical balls

    Hits like a truck

Just got this ball drilled up. 1st 3 games in league averaged 220. This ball is not just for the 1st game. As the oil breaks down you can just make adjustments to the conditions without it over powering the lanes. This ball will definitely be going to nationals with me.

    This ball is so good

This ball is good so far. Have only had a chance to use it on a house shot so YMMV. Strong enough to read through the soup but not so strong you need to pack it up before game 1 is done. It's amenable to moves left. It's happy squared up if the pattern supports it. It's motion is dependable and easy to manage. If you're looking for something that is strong without overpowering the pattern this is the ticket.

About Me After 2 years off...

    Behold. The Jackal Ghost

I've been off the lanes for 2 years. But I did my homework. within that 2 years, I learned bowling ball motion. and how to better manipulate the migratory path of the bowling ball. I've also been noticing that my older stuff deflecting off the pocket too much. I needed a new ball for sure. so here we go.
My PAP is 5 5/16 right by 7/16 up. my axis rotation is 25 degrees and tilt is around 10 degrees up. My average speed is 17 mph, and my rev rate is 450+. the layout has always been my go to with 60x4x40. I Picked a bowling center I never been in but have heard how slick the lanes are. It's an A2 house, and to me the pin carry seems different. when I mean different I mean weak
    Down to the test.
from the beginning, the ball hooked in the oil about a foot past the arrows around 14 board and picked up into a final roll right off 8 board and rolled off the pin deck between no less than 16 board and no more than 22 board. Given my speed, It held the tight rope quite well. Okay, so... What's next?
The transition was interesting. I always experience carry-down oil in slicker houses to the point my ball would tell me, "Please no more, Put me in the oven or something, I'm done." This of course wasn't the case with the Ghost. during this transition phase, the oil is eaten up and sucked off the lane. at the same points as last recorded , the ball wanted to start hooking on the arrows and sometimes a little before them. and finishing a roll way past Brooklyn. Still it looked rather impressive seeing this thing cover the entire lane. I adjusted my line of trajectory inward to 22 at the arrows and sending it to the same break point. BAM solid, flush explosion with the Ghost rolling off the pin deck no less than 17 board at the furthest.
    Playing after breakdown.
this would have been a good time to put this Beast away. but what the heck, the test goes on. When I finally did move my size 13 left foot into the region of the left gutter, the ball must have been really starving for oil, because I really had to look for it. the best look was inside 5th arrow with a little bit of MAXIMUM EFFORT!, I could keep this ball inline to pick up into its final roll right over 10 board. Inward at the break point felt as if there just wasn't enough oil to hold the ball. the ball playing inside the lane, rolled off the pin deck no less than 16 board, but wanted to drive all the way past 22 board.
    Final Result/Break Down
This ball is best for the fastest bowlers out there. someone with a speed dominate game will enjoy the power that this ball puts in their hands. the heavy oil stands no match for the Ghost, provided you stand a match for it as well(wink wink). if you are worried about ball deflection and lack of drive in the pocket in order to carry, you can stop worrying. The hook was predictable in the oil, and the final roll was like watching a sports car drift around a corner at the race track or like a powerful Mike Tyson Right to the cheek and the pins are the cheek. it can look like it's rolling parallel to the foul line which does looks godly cool. And it's Purple and black which also make it easy to map out the migratory path of the ball.
I bowled a total of 8 games and averaged 245 using only the ghost as a striking ball. My speed was close to 16.5 mph in the first game and 19 mph by the last game. this ball will be used particularly on longer and heavier tournaments. Get your benchmark layout worked out and simply apply to the bowling ball. get your PAP and axis tilts measured 'cause you only drill a new ball once. Good luck and Good Bowling. JP Smith

    Super Strong Coverstock and Engine

Definitely the strongest ball in my arsenal. I have been able to use it on 41' + of oil without any trouble. In fact, at times it would be so strong that I would have to open my angles on what would normally be tight patterns. I have mine with the pin down because this is my first ball to go in Long patterns. Then, I could transition to my Venom Shock, Trident Quest, or the Villain depending on how the lanes are transitioning.

I have bowled using many different ball companies by far Motiv has been the best . I got the Jackal Ghost about 2 months ago and I have been averaging 220 plus with it . I bowled a 300 with it on 8/9/18 . That ball has a great back end reaction.
